She was predeceased by: her stepfather Elmer Brown; her siblings, Arthur Kirk, A. D. Kirk, Avis Sanders, Clarice Murrah and Loudene Tollar; her sons, James "Allen" Quarles and Dennis Quarles; and her grandsons, Larry Quarles and Jeremy Cantu.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Sims, Pamela Quarles and Brenda Quarles; and her grandchildren, Bryant Smith, Jennifer Turner, Brandy Quarles, Carmen Knehr, Nathan Larned and Damian Quarles. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, multiple loving nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Joyce requested that a donation be made to your favorite church or charity.
