He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. 'Curly Lewis and Dorothy Isley-Shifflet (Bridwell); and his brother J. C. 'Johnny Lewis III. He is survived by: his children, James D. 'Jimmy Lewis (Angela) of Wichita, Kansas, Shelley Stone of Fort Worth, Cathie Jo Vercher and Larry Dale Turnage. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
