She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Edward and Verna Pittman McCain; her husband Weaver Garrel Lafferty; and her sister Janet Hall. She is survived by: her daughters, Denise Lafferty (Stuart Alcorn) and Kelly Cate (Charlie Cate); her grandchildren, Jesse Cate, John Cate and Emma Cate; her sisters, Barbara McCain, Charlene Ritchie and Emogene Crow; and also, Avonelle Shipp and Peggy Gardner.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home (512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel (512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033). A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at the Rio Vista Cemetery.
