He is survived by: his mother Frances Louise Shelton Burch of Rio Vista; his son Christopher Keith Burch of Tampa, Florida; and his brother Michael Joe Burch of Rio Vista. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends.

“I never met Gaylon Wesley Burch but I am sending condolences on behalf of my Dad. Allow me a few minutes to explain. My Dad is Kenneth Harwell, originally from Rio Vista, son of James Wesley and Stella Harwell. My father is 87 and has short term memory loss, but his old memories are still in tact and just yesterday he was telling me about an old friend and neighbor I had never heard him speak of before. By the name of Gaylon Burch! I'm sure he'd be sad to hear his son had passed away.”
