He was predeceased by: his parents, Rafael Benitez and Tomasa Benitez; and his son Ramon Benitez, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Antonia Benitez; and his children, Virginia Fernandez (Mike), David Benitez (Irma), Yolanda Benitez, Lydia Garcia (Ruben), Jesse Benitez (Diana) and Mark Benitez. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
