It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria San Juana Alvear of Rio Hondo, Texas, who passed away on August 23, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leandro Carreon and Maria R. Carreon; and her brother Jose Cruz Carreon. She is survived by: her husband Rito A. Alvear; her children, Rito Alvear, Jr. (Alicia), Raul Alvear (Marcy), Ricardo Alvear, Leandro Alvear (Norma), Rolando Alvear (Yajaria Ramirez), Maria Nava (Juan), Blanca Alvear, Virginia Alvear (Bobby Mcgivary) and Rosa Vasquez (Martin); and her siblings, Francisca Carreon, Lazaro Carreon (Audelia), Elva Gonzalez (Juan), Sylvia Trevino (Oscar), Martina Gonzalez (Fernando), Flora Laulom (Joseph) and Juan Carreon (Juana). She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
