He was predeceased by: his parents, Ren Howland and Nellie Howland; his siblings, Pearl Dack and Dail Howland; and his daughter Jennifer Howland.

He is survived by: his wife Mildred Howland; his children, Carol Meyer, Martin Howland, Timothy Howland and Janis Kidd; and his sister Carol Lamnek.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to the Community Church of Rio Hondo, P.O. Box 157, Rio Hondo, Texas 78583.
