He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose "Chepo" Limas and Manuela G. Muñiz; his siblings, Felipe Muñiz, Pepe Muñiz and Rosalie Muñiz "Rosa" Lewis; and his nephews, Felipe Garcia, Jr. and Gabriel Castañeda.
He is survived by: his wife Isidra Moncivais; his son Jesus Antonio Muñiz; his stepchildren, Julian Florez, Milagros Flores and Pedro Flores; and his siblings, Maria Alicia Garcia (Eduardo), Senovio Muñiz (Teofila), Judge Rolando "Mangera" Muñiz and Belinda Royval (Fabian). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
