She was predeceased by: her husband Luis Ortega; her daughters, Idelaida Ortega and Norma Linda Ortega; her brothers, Rito and Esteban Escamilla; and her daughter-in-law Elvira B. Ortega.
She is survived by: her children, Lasaro, Rudell, Louisa, Arturo, Irene, Mario, Mariano, Elena, Hermelinda, Mauro and Janet. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; four sisters and one brother.
