He was predeceased by: his parents, Luis Ortega and Herminia Escamilla; his son Arturo Ortega III of Amarillo, TX; and his sisters, Herlinda E. Ortega and Adelaida E. Ortega.
He is survived by: his former wives, Irene Galvan and Maria Garcia; his wife Elizabeth Espinoza; his son Jason Ortega of Lyford, TX; and his siblings, Lazaro Ortega, Rudell Ortega, Luisa Moreno, Elena Hoppings, Mario, Mariano Ortega (Irene Garza) and Mauro Ortega (Jeanette Vasquez). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
Arturo was also very thoughtful and signed up to be an organ donor, even in death he is helping someone in his community through donation.
