It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roberto Villarreal (Rio Grande City, Texas), who passed away on October 21, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Roberto may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Roberto touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Osme and Aniceto; and his wife Gela.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Sanchez Funeral Home (301 E 2nd St, Rio Grande City, TX 78582). A rosary was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (107 Pvt Lazaro Solis St, La Grulla, TX 78548). A burial was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ruben Solis Cemetery (299 E El Alto St, La Grulla, TX 78548).
