With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Del Pilar A. Suarez (Rio Grande City, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 12, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijio Alvarez Guerrera and Manuela Rodiguez; and her daughter Maria Del Pilar Trevino. She is survived by: her siblings, Eva Alvarez, Felicitas Summers, Pedro Alvarez, Elijio Alvarez Jr., Antonia Cintora, Odilia Alvarez, Juan Manuel Alvarez, Felipe Adan Alvarez, Ramon Juan Alvarez, Norma Guerrero and Silvestre Alvarez. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Blue Chapel (701 E Eisenhower St, Rio Grande City, TX 78582). A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church (4195 Old Hwy 83, Rio Grande City, TX 78582). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Suarez Family Cemetery.
