He is survived by: his son Javier Cruz, Jr.; his grandsons, Victor and Jacob; and his siblings, Hermelinda C. Laurel (CP Laurel), Carlos Cruz, Jr. (Olivia), Jaime Cruz (Celia) and Rosie C. Canchola (Israel). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Sanchez Funeral Home (301 E 2nd St, Rio Grande City, TX 78582). A rosary was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (101 E Canales Bros St, Rio Grande City, TX 78582). A burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the San Isidro Cemetery San Isidro Cemetery.
