He is survived by: his wife Concepcion "Connie" Guerra; his children, Rebecca (Rey) and Jerry (Marilu); his sister Florinda "Cuata" Garza; his grandchildren, Adrian Rivera and Cecilia Rivera; his siblings-in-law, Arturo, Jose "Joe" Alfredo Alvirde, Celia A. Santos, Alicia A. Canales, Elizabeth A. Gazaway, Idette A. Glover, Maria Eugenia Alvirde and Graciela Nelly Ramirez; and his mother-in-law Graciela V. Alvirde. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
