He is survived by: his sisters, Ninfa Q. Smith and Vilma Amaya (Arcadio); and his nieces and nephews, Adeline Cantu (Juan), Patricia Amaya, John Quiñones, David Quiñones (Angie), Adrian Quiñones (Jennifer) and Juan Cantu. He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Sanchez Funeral Home (301 E 2nd St, Rio Grande City, TX 78582). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (101 E Canales Bros St, Rio Grande City, TX 78582). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery (S Inspiration Rd, Mission, TX 78572).
