With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Ellen Grote of Riesel, Texas, born in Van Horn, Texas, who passed away on January 19, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack McCutchen and Catherine Meeks; and her son-in-law Billy Joe Weaver. She is survived by: her significant other Harold Grote; her caregiver Harold Grote of Riesel, Texas; her children, Ronnie Jackson (Lisa) of Riesel, Texas and Carol Weaver of Waco, Texas; and her siblings, Randall McCutchen (Rainell) of Deming, Kaye Perry (Dana) of Lake Tahoe, Nevada, Sandy Mahoney (Dave) of Pleasonton, California, Becky McCutchen of Levelland, Texas and Pam Whatley (Mark) of Van Horn. She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
