In the vast expanse of eternity, Maria Elena shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Maria Elena farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Beatriz Gonzalez and Artemio Cordova; and her brothers, Juan A. Alonzo and Jose M. Ortiz. She is survived by: her husband Lucio Rivera; and her children, Gloria Mazariego, Luz Rivera, Evangelina Rivera, Juanita A. Rivera and Cecilio Diaz. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
