He was predeceased by: his wife Josephine Velez; his siblings, Eustorjio Velez, Louis Velez, Elvira Gaona and Rachel Haggard; and his parents, Juan Velez and Guadalupe Velez.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Velez III and Elsa Velez; his brothers, Joe Velez, Eugene Velez and Domingo Velez; his grandchildren, Leonel Sanchez, Celeste Rodriguez (Christian), Ariana Sanchez, Damian Velez (Omega) and Johnny Velez IV; and his great grandchildren, Jaden, Nathan, Avery, Gabriel, Issac, Ellie and Enzo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
