With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jo Anne Stuart Blade of Richmond, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Prentiss Stuart and Annie Belle Ledkins Stuart; her aunt Viola Ledkins; her brother Mayes Clark Stuart; her grandsons, Jacob James Johnson, Abel Mayes Dawes and James Woods; and also Lillian Woods.
She is survived by: her significant other James R. Woods; her brother Julius P. Stuart, Jr. (Elizabeth); her nieces and nephews, Paul Dawes (Diane), Diana Power (Robert), Kimberly French, Marianne Dawes and Timothy Dawes (Shelia); and her grandchildren, Stephanie Petrosky (J. R.), Nation Dawes (Haley), Justice Dawes, Robert Power, III, Julie Atkins (Robert), Casey Power (Lauren), Kenny Power (Kristen), Rianne Wollgast (Kyle), Charlotte Dawes and Tim Dawes. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel (1201 4th St, Rosenberg, TX 77471). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Grace Community Bible Church (5121 FM359, Richmond, TX 77406). A graveside service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Morton Cemetery (401 N 2nd St, Richmond, TX 77469).
