It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hortencia Mata of Richmond, Texas, born in Algoa, Texas, who passed away on October 20, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mata and Cruz Solis Mata (Landeros). She is survived by: her children, George Gonzales, David Gonzales, Cesar Ferrer, Yvette Mendez, Belinda Soto (Hugo Gonzalez) and Yvonne Hernandez (Juan); and her sisters, Eva Rodriguez and Santos Landeros. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
