He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Hawkins Spencer and Mathis Cunning Hackett; his grandparents, Annie Mae Tate, William Hawkins and Alene Hawkins; his siblings, Cecil L. Hackett, R. C. Hackett and Erlene Timmons; and his nephew Gary L. Black.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Hackett; his children, Torea Hackett and Quindon M. Hill; his grandchildren, Clayton Johnson, Brenton Johnson, Alana Spaulding and Lea-Zhahanae Hill; his siblings, Antoinette Hackett, Phyllis Black, Jerry Spencer, Jerry Francis and Katie Price; his nieces and nephews, VirLinda Stanton, Monique Williams, La-Vaughn Alexander, Antoine Hackett, Kimberly Hackett and Shemika Black; and his mother-in-law Woodie Lattimore.
