He is survived by: his sons, Stephen Dowdy, Jason Kempe and Travis Kempe; and his siblings, Connie Knautz (Dennis) of Fort Worth and Bobby Kempe (Shannon) of Garland. He is also survived by aunt and uncle, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
