He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Bert, Sr. and Mary Zabbia Bert; his siblings, Elena Lowry and Nick Bert, Sr.; and his brother-in-law Bruce Lowry.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Saelens Bert; his children, Samuel Bert III (Dana), Daniel Bert (Mandy), Michael and Cheryl Carmichael (Scott); his stepsons, Mark, Steve (Lisa) and Chad Ulrich (Brandy); and his siblings-in-law, Vera Bert, Joan Baxter, Mary White, Teri Bloom, Rick Saelens, Donald Saelens and David Saelens. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (600 S Jupiter Rd, Richardson, TX 75081).
