He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dowdle and Ola Dowdle; his wife Mary; his brother Bill; his son Sammy C.; his son-in-law Dean Douglas; his granddaughter Amy Morrison; and his nephew Mike Dowdle.
He is survived by: his children, Belinda Douglas and David Dowdle (Jeneva). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grove Hill Funeral Home (3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
