He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Atkins and Carmen Atkins; and his grandson Ryan Colgate. He is survived by: his wife Beverley Atkins of Richardson Texas; and his daughters, Amber Shaddox (Joel) of Melissa, Texas, Sheri Barker (Craig) of Deltona, Teri Derma (Ron) of New Smyrna Beach and Christy Colgate (Mitchell) of Osteen, Florida..
