She was predeceased by: her former husband Dr. B. R. Penn. She is survived by: her daughters, Melissa Hollerith (Randy) of Washington, D. C. and Jiggs Foster (Todd) of Dallas, TX; her grandchildren, Marshall, Eliza Hollerith, Elizabeth, Jack and William Foster; her sister Kaye Gaut; and her husband Bill.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church (950 Trails Pkwy, Garland, TX 75043).
Highlights include Bruce Springsteen inviting her on stage at the Pete Maravich Center to receive a record Food Bank donation and Mayor Tom McHugh declaring December 6, 1989, Nancy B. Penn Day in Baton Rouge.
