It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mona Smith of Richardson, Texas, who passed away on December 22, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Coston (Crockett) and Mittie Coston; and her sister Jo McBay (Scott M. Smith). She is survived by: her husband Scott M. Smith; her children, Kathy Strickland of Dallas, David Scott Smith of Bronte and Gary Crockett Smith of Richardson, Texas; her grandchildren, Jeff Henderson, Heather Cooke, Cory Strickland, Brandon Boyd, Jennifer Solis and Mindy Mahon; and her great grandchildren, Alexandra Thornton, Qingni Jiang (Ni), Brian Boyd, Kylie Boyd, Tristan Boyd, Sofia Boyd, Shianne Solis, Dillon Solis, Madison Solis, Stockton Solis, Bailey Mahon and Gavin Corley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Operation Smile at https://www.operationsmile.org a charity that offers plastic surgery to young children born with cleft a palate.
