We are sad to announce that on October 15, 2022, at the age of 89, Mary Ruth Pope of Richardson, Texas, born in Groesbeck, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rupert Gunn and Eunice Jackson Gunn; and her siblings, J. R. Gunn, Dorman Ray Gunn, Norma Jean Grantham and Joy Juanita Fox.
She is survived by: her daughters, Suzanne Van Meter (Rusty Van Meter) and Dianne Pope; and her grandchild Lauren Hoover (Matt Hoover).
The family will be having a private ceremony, and in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Texas Rangers Foundation, which focuses support on our community and improving the lives of local children through programs and grants for youth in the areas of baseball, health, education, and crisis assistance.
