She was predeceased by: her parents, Jewell Higgins and Marquerite Higgins (Hawkins); and her daughter Heather Nihart. She is survived by: her husband Glenn Ray Nihart; her brother Richard Higgins (Lou Ellen) of Lee's Summit, MO; and her nephews, Don Higgins (Chris) of Blue Springs, MO, Brad Higgins (Anna) of Butler, MO and Barry Higgins (Julie) of Blue Springs, MO.
