He was predeceased by: his parents, Đào Bá Đăng and Nguyễn Thị Hảo; and his siblings, Đào Bá Dũng and Đào Cẩm Tú. He is survived by: his wife Đào Nguyễn Thúy Phụng; his children, Đào Nguyễn Hoàng Nam (Mai Anh) of Texas, Christine Quế-Hà Blair (Tommy) of Texas, Tina Quỳnh-Hà Aramayo (Carlos) of Texas and Hanney Yên-Hà Đào (Nash) of Texas; his grandchildren, Thomas, Arthur, Christopher Blair, Bernardo Aramayo, Andersen, Sawyer Đào, Solomon and Luther Grey; and his brother Scott Quỳnh Như Đào (Travis) of Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
