With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Herbert Mello of Richardson, Texas, born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 20, 2024 at the age of 99. He was predeceased by: his parents, Justino V. and Ligia A. (Periera); his wife Adeline Kathleen Thomas Mello; and his children, Janet J. Manchee and Thomas S. Mello.

He is survived by: his daughter Patricia; his grandchildren, James Justin Manchee (Melissa Manchee), Alex, Isabella Manchee, Jeffrey William Manchee (Danell Manchee) and Kathryn Elizabeth Cartiglia (Filippo Cartiglia) of London; his great grandchildren, Charles, Lucia Cartiglia, Michael Daniel Manchee (Heather Manchee), Maryanna Manchee, Andrew, Travis Gilbertson, Nicole Michelle Mello, Justin Thomas Mello (Amanda Mello), Caden and Owen Mello; his son-in-law William Manchee; and also, Joshua Manchee and Alyssa Mello. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
