He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack E. Monk and Frieda Elizabeth Johnson; his wife Nancy Ruth Monk; his sister Carolyn Whatley; and his siblings-in-law, Lavonda Monk and Charles Bearden.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cyndi Haynes (Larry) of Garland, TX and Wendy McCormick (Mike) of Denton, TX; his grandchildren, Dylan Haynes, Saylor Stewart, Cayman Stewart and Noah Stewart; his siblings, Jack Monk of Carrollton, TX and Freda Bearden of Garland, TX; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Klein (Bob) of Surprise, AZ, Kayla Woodard (Arnold) of Prescott, AZ, Janice McClellan (Roy) of Richardson, TX and Jim Hutto (Gail) of Palmer, AK. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
