He is survived by: his son Charlie Vawter; his grandson Finn Vawter of Richardson, Texas.; his brother Kent Vawter (Jenna); his nieces, Erin Darity (Anthony) and Sara Flatt (Coyne); his great-nephews, Hayes and Sawyer Flatt; and his great-niece Byrd.
