It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John D. Herzog of Richards, Texas, born in Montgomery, Texas, who passed away on April 4, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Herzog and Rosa Wagner Herzog; and his siblings, Thomas Herzog and Delores Hoffart. He is survived by: his son-in-law Dale; his children, Kim Kelly, Kay Herzog, Karen, Dale Mize and John; his daughter-in-law Amber Herzog; his stepdaughter Paula Maldonado (John); his siblings, Tootsie Mock, Ann McDuffie, Aleen Mock and Darrell Herzog; his grandchildren, Stephanie Ingram (Richard), Kristin Walker (B. J.), Maddy Kelly, Jonathan Mize (Nicole) and Ryan Kelly (Rachel); his great grandchildren, Emery, Everett, Easton, Preston, Theo, Merritt, Kaleigh, Abigail and Charlie; his daughter Shirley Binford; his friends, Rose Betty Piper and Alex Gilchrest; and his special little buddies, Bryson and Harrison Piper. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
