He is survived by: his wife Amelda Sloan; his sister Martha Anne Bates; his children, Karri Sloan-Neves and Mary Jane Vaught; his nieces and nephews, Jimmy Sloan, Mark Elam, James Elam, Kathy Messer, Charlotte Caso and Suzy Kamman; and his grandchildren, Deke Neves, Drew Neves, Nicole Neves, Kaci Willms, Cullen Vaught and Sloan Vaught. He is also survived by his six great grandchildren.
