He was predeceased by: his parents, Tola Travenia and Mattie Lee Travenia; his siblings, Margie White and Ray Travenia; his child Melroy Travenia; and his aunts and uncles, Jewell Ferrell, Plattie Hayes, Willie Glass, Marzee Jones, Iona Benson, Bessie Henegan, Mary Travenia, Elloise Travenia, Andrew Travenia and Luther Travenia.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Travenia; his children, Norma [Herbert] Finnen of Corsicana, Geral [Charles] Randall of Dallas, Roger [Rosie] Travenia Jr. of Corsicana, Loretha Travenia-Bowden of Dallas and Rochelle [Brian] Stevens of Lansing, Michigan; and his siblings, Hazel Ford of Houston, Velma Roberts of Houston, Tola [Betty] Travenia Jr. of Lansing, Madlyn Mitchell of Abilene and Julia [Chester] Williams of Dallas. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and about 38 great-grandchildren.
