He was predeceased by: his parent Emma Jo Massengale; his brother Alan Craig Carner; his grandparents, Joe and Emma Lee Savage; and his uncle Lynn Savage.
He is survived by: his stepfather Thomas Wayne Massengale; his sister Laura Edwards; and his stepsisters, Michele Massengale and Stephanie Garcia. He is also survived by aunt, an uncle and several cousins.
Memorial donations in memory of Doug may be made to the American Cancer Society.
