She was predeceased by: her parents, William Edgar and Trula Elizabeth Thornton (Richardson); her husband Earl Burns, Jr.; and her siblings, Lewis Earl Thornton, William Edgar Thornton II, Duane Thornton (Skeeter), James William Thornton (Dub), Ellen Thornton Russell, Ada Bell Thornton Rutherford and Dorotha Louise Thornton Norman.
