He is survived by: his wife Linda Kay Rothman Nelson; his children, Walter Dewayne Nelson (Fancy), Wendell Dion Nelson (Missy), Andrula La Rae Nelson (Mark) and Jody Delon; and his sister Laquita Owens. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
