She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Walter Newton and Winnifred Asa Newton (Winnie); her great-great-grandparents, John and Verena Thomas; her husband Charles Lee Hafer; her siblings, Dorothy Rabon, Lucille Riley, Douglas and Briggs Browning; her children, Dwayne Hafer (Ramona) of San Antonio, Denise Brodnax (Barry) of Wall and Misti McBryde (Gared) of Stratford; her grandchildren, Sara Hafer Fitzgerald (Robert) of Ft Worth, Matthew Brodnax of San Angelo, Jack McBryde of Midland, Walker and Ty McBryde of Stratford; her great grandchild Joanna Joyce Fitzgerald; and her sister Hazelle Blankenship (James) of Abilene. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
