He is survived by: his wife Margarita Rubealcaba; his sister Dora Rodriguez; his stepsisters, Suzie Ramos and Adele Garcia; his children, Silve Jr. (Norma) of Garland, Harvey (Cathy) of Irving, Scott (Inez Espino) of Dallas and Nancy Garza (Troy Guidash) of Keller; his stepchildren, Jessie Aguilar of Grand Prairie and Joe Torrez of Red Oak; his foster daughter Madelyn Lazo of Red Oak; and his pet Mikey. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
