Mary Ruth Chisholm Obituary

Mary Ruth Chisholm, age 76, of Red Oak, passed away and returned to her loving husband Thursday, February 25, 2016 at her home. She was born November 17, 1939 in Brownfield, Texas to Johnny and Mary Jo (Harmon) Venable. Mrs. Chisholm started working at Ferris High School in August 1979 and retired in June 2011. During her tenure she touched many lives.

She was devoted to the education business. She was an old fashioned Southern Bell who was a very good friend and loved by all. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Waxahachie. She loved nature and playing bridge. Grandmommie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her children, Julie Wright, Lance Chisholm and wife Jill and Eric Chisholm and wife Tiffany; grandchildren, Alex, Luke, Sydney, Andie, Bailey, Logan, Trent and Brady; sister and brother-in-law, Karla and Bob Wilson; mother-in-law, Beulah Mae Chisholm and numerous friends that were extended family.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:30 P.M. Saturday, March 5, 2016 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home with Rev. Marsha Hagee officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society in Mary Ruth's name.
