He was predeceased by: his parents, James Luther Howerton, Sr. and Marie Martin; and his sister Jane Earnest. He is survived by: his sons, James Wiley Howerton (Judy) and Todd Adams (Vickie); his granddaughter Ashley Pittsinger (Preston); his great grandchildren, Presley and Paxton Pittsinger; and his siblings, Doug Howerton (Gail), Barbara Moody and Deborah Purrazzolla. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
