He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Richard Nelson and Frances Elizabeth Heard Nelson; and his wife Janine Nelson. He is survived by: his sons, Andrew Nelson (Lindsay White) of College Station, Texas, Jacob Nelson (Brianna Nelson) of Reagan Wells, Texas and John Nelson (Savannah Foster) of Fort Worth, Texas; his sisters, Cindy Blue (Roger Blue) of New Braunfels, Texas and Denise Stark (David Stark) of New Braunfels, Texas; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Calvin, James, Lillian and Paisley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
