He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Tanner and Rena Tanner (Whalen); his former wife Greta Hufstutler; and his siblings, Patsy Tanner, Allyene Phillips, Louise Butcher, Jim Tanner, Bonnie Williams and Benny Tanner.
He is survived by: his wife Nelda Tanner of West; his children, Frank Tanner (Sandy) of Houston, Steve Alexander of Corte Madera, CA and Alana Haitsuka-Fernandez (Michael) of Waimea, HI; his grandchildren, Nicholas Tanner (Riley), Kealia Haitsuka, Caroline Tanner, Peyton Alexander and Tatum Alexander; and his siblings-in-law, Wilma Tanner, Leigh Ann Tanner, Yvonne Kee and Glenn Williams. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Aquilla Scholarship Foundation.
