Gene left this world on January 3, 2025 at the age of 73, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Erlene Horseley Scott and J. T. Scott; his wife Vicki Holland; his siblings, Shirley Troyer and John Scott; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Edna Scott and Anne Scott.
He is survived by: his sons, Keith Holland (Stacey) of Hardin, Kevin Holland (Dawn) of Liberty and Kenneth Holland (Whitney) of Raywood, Texas; his stepdaughter Candace DeLeon (Charlie) of Stephens City, Virginia; his grandchildren, Laci, Daniel, Logan, Baleigh, McKenzie, Ethan and Averi; his brothers, Clifton Holland (Bernice) of Buna, Charles "Frog" Scott of Raywood, Tony Scott of Raywood and Dinky Scott (Annette) of Liberty, Texas; his sister-in-law Rita Frizell of Dayton, Texas; and his nieces and nephews, Donna K. Smith, Deana Troyer, Kristopher Scott and Scott Troyer. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sterling Funeral Homes - Dayton (602 N Main St, Dayton, TX 77535). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
