He is survived by: his wife Esperanza "Penny" Mesa; his children, Miguel Enrique Mesa, Joseph Mesa, Joshua Mesa, Jonathan Mesa, Jaron Mesa, Irma Mesa, Melinda Mesa and Nora Molina; his sister Dora Mungia; his grandchildren, Allyssa Veney, Christopher Mesa, Wesley Mesa, Elliana Mesa, Alexandria, Robert Colunga, Taylor Mesa, Audrey, Lauren Aldrette, Sophia, Fernando Ochoa, Jude Reyna, Kaitlyn Pena, Roberto Perez, III, Joel Daniel Garza, Jr. and Keandra Denise Garza; and his great grandchildren, Anastacia, Adelyn, Ainsley Colunga, Ethan, Alyssa, Allison Ochoa, Zachary and Zoe Perez. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
