He was predeceased by: his son John William Calkins; his sister Jane Calkins Fontenot; and his parents, Desma Allen and John C. Calkins. He is survived by: his wife Mary Colfer Calkins; his daughters, Susan Calkins Loth (Bob) and Kelly Calkins Eckhardt (Russell); his grandchildren, Shan Marie Egliskis (Matt), Hunter McIntosh (Dawn), Jacob Eckhardt, Abbey Eckhardt and Baileigh Loth Williams (Bruce); his great grandchildren, Mason, Grant Egliskis and Ryann Hill; and his cousin Dwight Calkins (Linda). He is also survived by his family and many, many life long friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be given in his memory to the St. Mary's School Endowment Fund or to the charity of your choice.
