With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Celia Sosa of Raymondville, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 18, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Celia find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Chavez and Aurora Chavez (Gutierrez). She is survived by: her husband Matias Sosa, Sr.; her children, Juan M. Sosa, Matias Sosa, Jr., Guadalupe Young (Tim), Gloria Martinez (Joe), Lydia Garcia (Victor) and Noelia Rivera (Jesse); and her sister Guadalupe Sosa. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Duddlesten Funeral Home (604 W Hidalgo Ave, Raymondville, TX 78580). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
