She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Juan Silva and Rosa Silva (Loya); her siblings, Frederico Silva, Juan Silva and Adelina Colchado; her children, Will Salinas (Ida), Sandra Tijerina (Daniel) and Lynda Garcia (Ricardo); and her sisters, Elida Gonzalez, Sylvia Olivarez, Dolores Sandlin and Rosa Silva. She was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
